Great place to eat best fish and chips anywherep

I only had beverages but the atmosphere was cozy and approachable. Enjoyed very much.

After craving fish and chips and a quick google search, my Dad and I found ourselves leaving this establishment extremely satisfied. From the batter of the fish, to the cut of the fries. I definitely recommend the seafood chowder. The only reason this was 4 and not 5 stars was the tarter sauce, which left me searching for the 'tart'.

Newfoundland style diner. Great fish and chips. Be sure to get the Newfie fries. A must try for any Canadian

Not very clean. Food was over priced. Parking was not well advertised from outside. Food was flavorless. The seafood chowder was basically only fish and clams, no lobster, Shrimp or scallops. I eoild never go here again I think driving all the way here was a big waist of time. The high chair was gross. I was sad I had to put my child in it.

Homestyle fish and chips are incredibly good! Food gets a 5 star rating however it does suffer on the atmosphere side. An updated interior would enhance the experience.

Awful (not deserving of one star). This place used to be an awesome meal for an awesome price. This place has gone completely downhill and cleanliness is sorely lacking. Calamari 6-8 greasy pieces for $15.00 – come on! Completely overpriced now - what used to be $50 for a family of four is now $90 – ridiculous! The overall bad after taste still lingers. Will not return and don’t foresee that this place will be open much longer.

Had high hopes for this place as I loved newfie fish and chip places back home, and it's also the only place that serves dressing in town, but sadly the food was somewhat bland, and the fish was so greasy it was hardly edible. My stomach was not happy with me later that night.

Simple, affordable, and fantastic staff. We had a grand time the last time we visited after art galleries and hair cuts!

Barely deserves 1 star.... if this is what they think easy coast food is they are WAY WAY OFF! The fish is super dry and coated in a bland thin batter with no fluffiness. The fries are barely warm and super chewy and again flavourless. Highly suggest going anywhere else, even McDonald’s has better fish and fries!

Went to this restaurant last year, it was amazing, home made fries, and huge fluffy fish...WHAT HAPPENED?? Tonight we ordered takeout. Was talked into getting the Family Deal . 10 pieces of fish, fries and gravy........10 pieces were actually only 9 . fries were not home made or even made fresh (soggy and old) and the gravy came from a can or package...Extremely disappointed.. $56.00 wasted.. Not worth the one star I reluctantly gave..:(

If I'm doing Fish and chips this is the spot always great food and great service. Being from Nova Scotia my standards are fiarly high when it comes to seafood. Haddock is my favorite fish to eat, so it was nice to see. Cod is overrated. Iced tea was made, not canned, which was good. Service was prompt and friendly. I'd recommend the burger as well. My girlfriend got it and she adored it. It's decently priced, but a little high on certain products. Despite the name, it's a great place to go for things other than fish. My girlfriend hates even the smell of fish but she enjoyed herself greatly.

Im from Newfoundland...and being in Alberta, i get homesick. Its nice to know that theres a delicious place to sit back and relax and enjoy the foods from home. I recommend the cod tounges and fries dressing and gravy:)

Went in for something to eat asked for a menu from this old women who then after walked over to a table and proceeded to wipe it down for the longest peroid of time, and then a security guard walks in and then proceeds to talk to her about the day and what she is going to have to eat while we were stood their with a menu in our hands staring at her waiting for her to ask us for what we would have, when we realized she wasn't going to turn her head to ask us what we wanted to eat we put the menu down next to the register and walked out while she looked at us confused and continued to talk to this security guard friend. So she lost 32$ plus a tip. I wonder how this owner of this restarant would feel if he knew he lost that type of order for her to have a conversation with her security friend who works upstairs for social services. Thats the truth. I have a question as well what would make this women think that she could treat a consumer with such disrespect? Is she the owner?.

Fish was decent. Fries weren’t fully cooked and there was no gravy or coleslaw available because they were busy the night before. How have they not made more by 2:30 the next afternoon after a busy night?Our waitress was awesome though.

A great stop for your fish and chips fix. It's a family run business, that is family friendly. It is accessible and offers suitable seating. The staff are friendly and serve as fast as they can. A good beer or a nice glass of lemonade goes nicely with the meal.

The food was good. I wouldn't say amazing but I only ordered a blt & fries w/ gravy, which was good. The service was good as well. I wouldn't say amazing but the lady who served me was kind and attentive. The bathroom desperately needs renovations!! As does the whole restaurant itself!! Its old and looks like its been this way for as long as Ive been alive or... older!!!!! The location is good. I like that is has wheelchair access!! Always a plus for ppl who need! The restaurant gets a 2 out of 5 stars. I would have given 1 out of 5 but the lady who served me was very nice and I always appreciate good customer service!

Back Home Fish & Chips is the best place for really good fish and fresh cut fries. Their fish comes straight from Newfound i would highly recommend to come and check us out. 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Place is closed and has been for months apparently. Wanted to try it today. So cold outside only to find it closed. Tables look set and ready to go. Nobody there. What happened?

If you're looking for a good fish and chips, or craving some fries with dressing and gravy, Back Home is a great place to go. You're looking at $14 - 20 per person, more for dressing and gravy, or anything else. Pop is by the can though which is the only reason I don't rate this a 5.
